Organizing Digitally: Buck’s Chapter 3

For new teachers, in particular, information seems to pour in from all directions.  New teachers quickly become stressed and feel overwhelmed.  A well-defined organizational system can mean the difference between others perceiving a teacher as, in Buck’s words, “in control, relaxed, and on top of the game.” A “signature tool,” that becomes the teacher’s constant companion can be the “one-stop” system that “traps” appointments, tasks, and basic information in one place.  Though a signature tool could be paper-based, in this era of smartphones, using a digital device is perhaps the best choice.  A digital system gives the teachers 3 primary advantages; it is portable, searchable, and shareable.

Until next time!
